Interesting Site
Stumble Upon is a site that sends you to different sites from all over the net depending on your interests that you fill in. Being the artsy person I am, my interests revolve around more artistic pages. If you have a Facebook, you can log in through Facebook instead of making an account.

Project 1 for Class
www.plainfieldartleague.org
For the website redesign, I have chosen the Plainfield Art League. The type needs a lot of work as well as the page layout. Even the logo needs to be redesigned because it looks like clip art. The league's art gallery pages are probably the best composed pages on the whole site, but I am going to stride for better.
I adjusted the tabs, to which is displayed on my site map. I figured some could be combined on to the same pages because of the great similarity to each other. For example, Classes and Online Class Registration could appear on the same page, or be redirected from that page. Here is a simple site map, but I shall have a more complete one up soon.
The wire frame I have is a simple layout for the league's home page, which greatly needs to be redone. I feel that they made their site more complicated than it needed to be. I am taking a minimalist approach to this site simply because their site did not work with being cluttered, perhaps less is more. Then I did a wire frame for the gallery and news page.

The Beginning
I do a lot of sketch work before uploading to a computer to finish off my work, so that is what I started with the tattoo I am designing for myself. I go into a good amount of detail for just doing a sketch, but I see it as a piece of art. I will want a complete image for my own keeping in my collection. Of course, I do plan on making a portfolio of my tattoo designs, which might even get me more work. So I shall have fun with this using my lovely Adobe programs. I think it's a good start so far. Comments are welcomed.
The basic idea from this image is my redesign of my tarot card. My card is the Heirophant, or the Ancient. The image is of a woman holding a crystal ball, but she also has wings of a dragon. The woman is supposed to be myself, wearing a corset with a hooded dress. Her eyes cannot be seen, which I felt added to the mystery of the image. The crystal ball represents the knowledge/advice giving aspect of the being. Within the crystal ball there is the roman numeral for 5, V, which is the card's number within a deck. The dragon wings depict the creature which is known for being ancient and wise. I thought it fit quite well with the idea of my card.
